Kind of a terrifying poem, isn’t it?

Daddy took us to the zoo today!

All she does is complain

There’s a sale on at Amazon on some clothes I like, but of course they don’t ship to Canada. Of course not. Bastards. Anyone who reads this who lives in America and will be travelling to Toronto for whatever reason soonly, message me and maybe we can work something out.

Super supper time

We ate lunch at a Middle Eastern restaurant and had veggie samosas that didn’t taste like any kind of samosa I am familiar with. Not bad, just different. So I was thinking about how much I love them (oh, and doubles, eat those some time and thank me for the recommendation) and how I had 2 rolls of Pillsbury Crescent rolls in the fridge…You see where I am going here? They don’t taste like traditional samosas either, but they sure are good. Really light and fluffy, mmm. Plus I made a sauce that involved salsa verde and salsa roja mixed together. Also not traditional, but it worked….

Careful, they are hot.

And salad, one I make all summer that has pasta, chick peas, feta, dill, lemon and green onions. It’s good too.

Salad is good for you.

Doubles always make me think of Emily who shares my love for them.

Here’s what I am wearing today:

Yellow and grey striped half sleeve shirt from Old Navy. Jeans from H&M (on their last legs, mind you, best jeans I have ever owned other than that pair from Forever 21). White belt with pink stars from Union Station. Fruit of the Loom bra. Red underwear from The Gap. No name socks. Roxy watch and assorted rings (I’m up to 5!). I most likely will wear my Converse One Stars because they are in high rotation right now.

And no, I don’t brush my hair. Hair brushes are for babies and people who wash their hair more than twice a month.

Oh, and one other thing

Ali was right, it was my birthday a week ago. Largely missed due to Mother’s day, illness and day-to-day excitement, but I finally got my main gift on Friday. Yes, it’s a pink Eee PC that had to be special ordered for mee. It’s just about the cutest thing on the block and I love love love it. Mine has a webcam so expect some hot shows featuring me and Shannon any time soon.

even the box is cute CUTE!! awww!

Rad, eh? It’s hard to type because I have giant man-hands (complete with furry knuckles) but I know I will get used to it. Thanks, Shannon! XOXO

What to do on a long, wet weekend

Lucky for me, I live with a newly 5 year old who got crazy amounts of presents for her birthday. One such gift (from Oma?) arrived at our house a few weeks ago and has sat untouched since then. I got the bug to build today, so I helped myself to the blocks and built a pyramid. These blocks are great, perfectly finished, smooth and flat, and they smell so good…Then I also got the pleasure of smashing it to the ground.

a great pyramid, sort of

A cautionary tale

This picture represents the most dangerous part of the house I live in. For some reason it’s incredibly slippery and every time I walk on it, whether in slippers, socks or bare footed, I falter. My arms wave in the air and I mutter “whoa whoa!” So this happens about 20 times a day/night. I’ve given it a lot of thought and think someone either spilled cornstarch in the area in front of my closet OR sprayed it purposely with Pam. So, if you’re ever heading out to the third (or is it fourth?) floor balcony, be careful.

And if anyone has any suggestions as to how I might make it not slippery (short of sanding the floor or dumping glue there) I’d appreciate the help.

Yikes!

Hee hee!
