We ate lunch at a Middle Eastern restaurant and had veggie samosas that didn’t taste like any kind of samosa I am familiar with. Not bad, just different. So I was thinking about how much I love them (oh, and doubles, eat those some time and thank me for the recommendation) and how I had 2 rolls of Pillsbury Crescent rolls in the fridge…You see where I am going here? They don’t taste like traditional samosas either, but they sure are good. Really light and fluffy, mmm. Plus I made a sauce that involved salsa verde and salsa roja mixed together. Also not traditional, but it worked….
And salad, one I make all summer that has pasta, chick peas, feta, dill, lemon and green onions. It’s good too.
Doubles always make me think of Emily who shares my love for them.

That salad looks delicious though I do not like onions. I love pictures of cooking. Mmm mmm.
Yeah, food and babies are my favoured photos. And that salad is awesome, and I guess you could skip the onions. I don’t use much, though, and they are mild spring onions.
I’m definitely going to have to try that salad. Looks amazing.
Do you have a recipe for the salad?
Salad:
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 cup orzo pasta, cooked, drained, cooled
1 cup crumbled feta
1/2 cup chopped fresh dill
Juice from 1 lemon
1/4 cup olive oil
4 spring onions, chopped
Salt, pepper.
I think that’s everything, although I can’t give exact measurements on some stuff, I just eyeball most of it. And sorry for the delay in posting this!
