Stitch and Bitch

Posted by – 05/02/2009

As you may remember, a couple weeks ago we had our first ever stitch and bitch. There were only three people total (which was good, more people would mean taking shorter turns bitching) and I managed to do a complete project start to (almost) finish. All I did when I got home was stuff it and sew it closed. It’s a rabbit chew rag. Then I had to figure out what nearly teething person would appreciate it.

Enter Maggie Meeps.  I sent it to her family farm and she’s just popped her first tooth so it’s going to good use! And just look how cute she is!

And she looks swell in that prim Amish dress, very sweet!

Totally übercute, but why does she have so big feet?

  2. Caitlin Jane says:

I wondered that too! Perhaps a combination of camera angle and multi-layers of tights, leggings, socks?

  3. Ash says:

She’s wearing big socks under her tights up to her knees (and an undershirt and a shirt under her dress) cuz damn it’s cold here and also camera angle.

    :)

Could you make one (or even a couple ) of these little chew blankies for me please? Well, not exactly for ME – for Linda’s 6 month old nephew, Martin. As soon as you’re able would be perfect. we can talk abt price. Much love Mum xo

I made one in red cotton but I am unsure if the dye will run when gnawed on. And yes, of course I will make a couple.

  6. JoAnn says:

You’re probably right about the dye. Something like undyed cotton would probably be best but I’ll leave it up to you. xo

    Hello

I was wondering if you got the pattern for the chew rag from a book, or the net, or made it up out of your own head? I’d love to make a couple for my twins.

    Thank you

  8. Caitlin Jane says:

Can do Carolyn, probably next week.
