I’ve noticed pigeons landing on other people’s balconies lots of times but never here until today. There were 2 but I wasn’t fast enough to catch them both. I wonder what they were up to.

My right hand and arm are sore from painting Ari’s new room. I don’t think I’ve spent as much time with a roller since my Stainless days. Ryan can relate. In my career there we moved twice (I started when they first opened at the basement version, east of Spadina Ave) and painted…lord, we painted a lot. I have to say, Ryan and I are quite a team, I bet we could start up an interior painting company. Although, we’d probably end up killing each other.

I hate painting and I seem to recall a very pushy counter gal that looked a lot like you making me help her paint the entire piercing room one very dull day at the location above the fabric store…
I am still plotting revenge on that counter gal, if only I can remember her name :P
You know what’s funny? I don’t remember painting the piercing room at all, although I believe your story. At that version of Stainless, all I remember is that red, over and over, coat after coat of red, red, red. Oh my. That was when I swore that I’d never, EVER choose red for walls ever again. What a nightmare.
And by fabric store you mean Artzy Phartzy?

Scott is an expert pigeon catcher. Whenever he is in the city, he’s all over them, much to the dismay of people in a close proximity! He’s had lots of practice on the chickens. ;)
I imagine that pigeon and chicken catching are similar pursuits. In my head it goes “Slow, slow, slow, POUNCE!” and voila, a bird in your hands.
Totally. With some artful dodging thrown in as well. (And by artful dodging I mean well timed spastic lunges).
