I don’t really know what inspired this in-between-other-projects project, but my fingers have been on fire pumping it out. Each number will be attached indvidually, and I am planning on mounting on masonite, with a layer of cotton batting over, then fabric and finally the giant granny square. Yes, the hands-for now-are crochet hooks. Right now it’s about as big as a vinyl record cover (and has been transferred onto Kiss Dynasty for ease of moving).
Neat, eh? It’s tentatively promised to Gillian, but if she’s not up for it, it will be for sale. I also have other colour combos in mind, more earthy, ’70s flare, rusts, browns, beige, dark green…
