And I do agree, I think they hand out tons of freebies, it's the best way to get the word out on how good all the products are. When I was at the grocery store I very intentionally made friends with the candy reps, women that visit variety stores to push candy. They ALWAYS had samples, I ate so much candy... After the initial gluttony I bet you would get tired of it and find it much easier to resist chocolate which would make any future dieting easier. Plus they probably let you take home lots of little sample sizes, like the kind they give away when you go and visit, so you could give them away to pleased friends and family. Then again I just watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other night so probably in the back of my mind I was picturing the job being like that when I thought about this.
