Seriously, Laura, you are too kind. I'm having an all-choked-up sort of day and you're not helping!

Everything's going to depend on when/if Ari goes to Cali. And those sort of trips generally are decided very last minute so...even if we don't stay with you, I'd still love to visit. I love houseboats. Surely there are hotels/motels/b&b's whatever in the area.

When in March are you thinking of coming over? My brother is visiting after the 20th and therefor, our spare room is occupado after that.

Things to know:
-we have a rather big, annoying yet lovable dog who is still training to not be a pain in the butt.
-we live in a typical UK 3 bedroom which actually means 2 bedrooms and a closet that you can't fit even a single bed into (but works ok for a toddler still sleeping in a crib) so while we welcome guests and love to have people over, it is a tight fit if you are not comfortable being in small-ish spaces with others.

But our town is sweet and friendly. There are lots of cute little shops and cafes and some awesome remodeled houseboats on the river running through town.
in fact: check out this flickr page if you have a few minutes...www.flickr.com/photos/42137324@N08/4257434187/in/pool-weloveshorehamhouseboats
some of the houseboats are done up as works of floating art made entirely out of salvage materials. it's really awesome to see in person.

Ha, that's amazing! We will most likely have Ari with us too, if that's ok. I really do want to explore that beautiful southern coast of England. And visit Patrick B, my family, Stonehenge, Howlett's zoo and the royal oak.

Thanks for the kind words!

Oh and I hope you weren't upset by what I said. I should have been more clear, perhaps. I find it funny that can make any subject really interesting. That is all I meant. I enjoy reading your blog regardless of what you are writing about...some other blogs are good but need an occasional scroll down to bypass the snoozy stuff.

Mostly I figured that it was cheap enough to buy some to give it a try. No harm no foul.

Now I have to sort out my other blog entry, it's gotten some people upset.

Nutritional yeast is funny - it often gives me MSG-y headaches, I looked into it, part of the autolyzation process mimics MSG... or something. I am sure Google would cough it up if you were interested. We were eating a fair amount of it (crispy fried tofu) so I cut it down/out and no more headaches.

Not 100% if they were directly related, but certainly food for thought if it moves up the chain of things you consume.

It's also usually in anything "cheesey" that's "health food", like our kids Cheddar Bunnies (aka Goldfish Crackers).

I posted them a day apart, I guess that's how I maintain the same tone? I didn't mean to, though, the Value Village story was meant to have an DISGUSTED tone. This one was supposed to sound YUMMY. I need to work on those, I guess.

And as far as yeast eating goes, yesterday was the first time. I have not decided, yet, if it's going to be a regular thing. And I certainly won't be putting it in my pants, ha ha?

Hey, Laura, if we visit England in March, we can stay with you, right?

How can you write a post about eating yeast in your favourite meal, following your post about secondhand yeast iinfections in used pants?!? And you manage to do it with the same tone and interest. You intrigue me in this way.
Also, I like that the Vagoo author also told you to 'open your own damn club'.
My favourite graffiti in Toronto was on a church on College street. There is a red door in the side of the church and someone had written 'paint it black'. made me chuckle every time.
